Hyena (14)

Japanese hardcore punk and speed/heavy metal band from Sapporo formed in 1989. The band split up in 1997, but was reformed in 2003 with two original members and guitarist Kimihiko (2) from Eliza and Diall and Atsuya from Silverback and No More Pain. Hyena's music style is widely categorized as "metal core", but as a Japanese term of the 80s (e.g. Gastunk, The Execute, Poison, Ghoul, GISM, Zouo) and not what's more commonly known as metalcore in modern days. Their live and recording support members include musicians from various Sapporo based punk and metal bands; Kiyo (2) (Silverback, Slang), Angel (150) (Alkaloid, Saber Tiger), Hitoshi Yamada (Miburo), and Fumihiko Kii (Fast Draw, Maverick, Negarobo).
