Maurice “Docman” Robinson is a heavy contender in the rap game and a name you should definitely get familiar with. Docman is representing QueensBridge, New York. His lyricism, production, and overall artistry brings hip-hop back to its roots and embodies the art of storytelling. Originally from Yuma, AZ, Docman moved, along with his mother, to Long Island, NY when he was just 2 years old. Growing up in a city where drugs, violence and poverty are at every turn, Docman found a passion for music from his older cousin to keep him from being down on crime. After his cousin’s passing, Docman relocated from New York to where he now resides in Houston, TX. Docman is the owner and CEO of Empier Entertainment. Docman credits artists such as Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Mos Def, Lupe Fiasco as inspirations, but his sound is one all his own. He has just released his highly anticipated EP, The DOCument. Docman has traveled all over the country for his music. His first run was a local 3-city tour called "3 Strikes". The tour went to Houston, Austin, and Dallas. Just a month later, Docman, and members of Empier Entertainment, headed back out for another tour supporting their upcoming release, Studio X. This tour went to Dallas, Houston, New York, Los Angeles, and Atlanta. With hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube, streams on sites such as Spotify, Soundcloud, and downloads on iTunes and Google Play, Docman is on his way to taking over the music game.
