Jazz trumpet player from Indianapolis, USA. Played in Earl Bostic Orchestra with John Coltrane in 1952. Later with Jimmy Coe/Cole's band and, according to Indy Recorder [IR 28 Feb 1976], "the wailing first trumpet of ... Ray Charles, and his large Orchestra".
