Vera Sanford was a Chicago, USA lounge artist who auditioned for the NBC Johnny Carson show In 1956, she joined to a vocal quartet Opus de Four, Chicago, 1956-60 (Vocal group) = John Outterbridge, John Esterridge, Sam Bowens, Vera Sanford "Most of the original music was written by the group' tenor, John Esterridge. The other singers were Sam Bowens, a baritone, and Vera sanford, whose voice was compared to Sarah Vaughan's."
