Grigory Khersonsky (b. August 20, 1937, Kirovograd) - Soviet trombonist and teacher, Honored Artist of the RSFSR. Khersonsky graduated from the Moscow Conservatory in 1961, majoring in trombone. In 1958 and 1959 he played in the orchestra of the Lenin Komsomol Theatre. In 1959 and 1960 - at the Opera Studio of the Moscow Conservatory. From 1960 to 1962 - in the pop-symphony orchestra of the All-Union Radio and Television / Оркестр Симфонической И Эстрадной Музыки Гостелерадио СССР. From 1962 to 1969 he was an artist of the All-Union Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra / Большой Симфонический Оркестр Всесоюзного Радио. In 1963, Khersonsky won the 1st prize at the All-Union Competition of Performing Musicians. From 1969 to 1983 he played in the State Symphony Orchestra of the USSR / [a10627123]. In 1983 he became the soloist-accompanist of the trombone group of this orchestra. Khersonsky made many audio recordings of diverse works at the Мелодия company and the All-Union Radio / Всесоюзное Радио and Television. Since 1990 he has been a soloist with the Haifa Symphony Orchestra (Israel). In Israel, he worked as a teacher at the municipal conservatory in the city of Petah Tikva.
