Colorado-based musician, songwriter, producer and remote recording engineer. Born in 1952. Died October 27, 2013 at the age of 61. Husband of Angie Dickinson Mickle. Mickle started and ran Professional Sound & Recording, Inc., from 1986 to 2002, recording live shows at Red Rocks and other venues across the country for local and national broadcast. Many of those recordings became major label releases. In the early years, he recorded the Colorado Springs Symphony using 2" tape on Stephens Machines. By the end of the 1990s he was recording major label artists on both digital 8, using DA-88 and DA-78 machines and hard drive. He was an early adapter of recording software, particularly, SAWStudio utilizing hardware that allowed for simultanious 48-track recording. He used the handle 48trx on many recording internet forums.
