The Chosen Few (18)
Настоящее имя: The Chosen Few (18)
Об исполнителе:
Hip hop group from Amityville, Long Island, New York. B-Nice and Lovey Brown (a.k.a. B-Love) had met at Copiague High School through a mutual passion for music. B-Nice played drums in the school chorus and quickly picked up DJing skills from friends of his older brother. B-Nice’s grandfather was a close friend of the father of De La Soul’s Maseo; the two boys had met at an early age. Chosen Few started to hang out with Mase through mutual friend DJ Stitches (allegedly "one of the founding members" of De La Soul). De La soon guested on and produced some Chosen Few demo material in the early 1990s and also had B-Nice and Lovey guest on their stacked B-Side track “What Yo Life Can Truly Be” in 1991. The group shopped their resulting demo to Puff Daddy (who was then with Uptown Records) in 1991, to Lyor Cohen at Rush Artist Management, and also to the labels Chrysalis and Virgin. They got great feedback, but no record deal was forthcoming. The group eventually disbanded and turned into Fourty Dogs.
