Robbie Wells

Fiddle player, singer, songwriter and music teacher in Lynchburg, Virginia. Also played guitar and mandolin. Born August 21, 1955 in Tampa, Florida. Died May 3, 2016. Robbie's forty-five year career was highlighted by performances with Bob Hope, Bill Monroe, the Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra and an appearance in the Steven Spielberg film Lincoln. Robbie made several solo albums and recorded with many other musicians, including the bluegrass group Reno & Harrell.
