Ramanand Sagar

born on 29 December 1917, near Lahore, Punjab, British India (now Pakistan), died 12 December 2005 in Mumbai, India and was an Indian filmmaker. He was a gold medalist in Sanskrit and Persian from the University of Punjab in 1942. Ramanand Sagar was also editor of the newspaper Daily Milap and a writer. As head of the Bollywood production company Sagar Arts Corp., he wrote, directed, and produced motion pictures and television programs.
