John Rahn

A computer music composer, music theorist, professor, bassoonist and editor of the Journal Perspectives of New Music. His works in the 1980s utilized the MUSIC 4BF scoring and digital to analog system for VAX. His recent computer compositions utilize Lisp. Dr. Rahn is a professor in University of Washington's School of Music and created the school's computer music lab. He conducts courses in computer music. His works written for chamber opera, oboe, and computer have been performed internationally.
