Houston, Texas-based tenor banjo, ukulele and guitar player; comedian; banjo and string-band teacher; and pastor. Founded the Bayou Banjo Band, the “Happy Time Strummers” senior adult ukulele band, the “KABAMM” program (Kids Acquiring Basic Abilities for Making Music) for the ALL FRETS which is dedicated to promoting and teaching all types of fretted instruments (ALL FRETS was formerly known as FIGA –Fretted Instruments Guild of America), The Music Machine, the 65-piece "All Stars" Youth Banjo Band and the 30-piece Jubilee Banjo Band, which is the only banjo band to be inducted into the National 4-string Banjo Hall of Fame. The Jubilee Banjo Band appeared at the Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston, Texas every June from 1985 -2006. This established the JBB as the longest, consistent running show in the history of the Grand 1894 Opera House. (The JBB disbanded in 2007.) Griffin wrote and published the 150-page Happy Time Ukulele Method and Song Book instructional video. Griffin has been inducted into the National 4-string Banjo Hall of Fame on 2 occasions - in 2002 and 2005. He is the only person to be inducted twice.
