Brighton, UK based actor and recording artist Dave Mayberry is an actor and recording artist who has worked in television, film, radio, and theatre shows worldwide. His first professional singing gig was backing vocals on the Cliff Richard & The Shadows track, "La La La Song", which appeared on the album, Finders Keepers, and as the B-side to Time Drags By in 1966. In the 1970s, Mayberry performed in cabaret and theatre shows throughout the UK. Mayberry worked for the Mecca organisation on the London nightclub scene, singing with jazz pianist, Frank Stafford. Mayberry appeared regularly at the Cafe de Paris in London's Leicester Square, singing with Johnny Joseph's swing band. Mayberry's West End theatre appearances include playing Pharoah in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Vaudeville Theatre, captured on the release, 7308006. He played a number of roles, including Bob Dylan, Arthur Brown, and Roy Orbison, in various productions of Only the Lonely at the Piccadilly and Whitehall theatres. His roles as Joe Melson (Orbison's songwriting partner), Braxton Dixon (the architect of Orbison's home), and Jimmy Savile (British DJ and television personality) were captured on the 1995 Original Cast Recording, 15378690. Mayberry has worked with a host of stars from the 1960s/70s, including Cliff Richard, Freddie Starr, Stubby Kaye, P.J. Proby, Craig Douglas (2), Renée & Renato, Denise Nolan, David Hamilton, and long time family friend, Jess Conrad. Mayberry has been a recording artist for Columbia, First Night Records, Showbiz Records (3), and Future Legend Records.
