Eurodance Group from Norway, originally created in 1994 as a solo project by Stig Antonsen, but put on ice before releasing anything. The project was revived in 1996, when Antonsen’s friends Christian Onshus and Trude Barstad joined the project. The group released just one single, U. R. My Dream, before splitting up. Reset was revived a second time in November 1998, this time with the current lineup: producer Stig Antonsen and singers Camilla Henningsen (now Camilla Alvestad) and Thomas Borgvang. They called themselves Reset because 90 percent of the equipment was electronic. The debut single, Blue, which has sold nearly 20 000 copies, was released in June 1999. The debut album, Play, was released a few months later, followed by more singles and a second album in October 2001. As Camilla and Thomas were both victims of bullying, they supported the youth organization MOT (“against”, “courage”), which focuses on issues such as bullying, violence and drug abuse among young people, by performing for free on MOT events. After being inactive for several years, Reset returned in late 2009 with a new single called “Just Say Yeah”, produced by Gordon Davies and John Tonks. The video featured a variety of celebrities, including Per Heimly (photographer and friend of Ari Behn, Princess Märtha Louise’s husband), Linni Meister (model, blogger, TV personality and artist), Robin Og Bugge (rap duo) and Jan Simonsen (3) (former politician representing the Progress Party, one of two parties in government since 2013). The comeback and the release party were covered by Simonsen on his blog. Reset’s most recent singles are “One Love” (produced by Stig Antonsen) and “So High” (produced by Ketil Schei). The group’s regular DJ is Rune Ødegaard, who also DJs for Infinity (5). In 2012 Reset joined forces with Solid Base under the name “Solid Base vs. Reset”. The two projects had already been cooperating for a several years.
