Manhattan Quartett
Настоящее имя: Manhattan Quartett
Об исполнителе:
American vocal quartet that between 1911 and 1928 recorded German folk and pop songs for Columbia, Edison, and Victor. The quartet was formed by soloists of the Brooklyn-based German men's choir "Arion". In 1911, when the quartet toured Germany, it consisted of Henry Weimann (first tenor), Gustav Walden (second tenor), William Janson (baritone) and Frank Schwarzkopf (bass). In the 1920s, tenors Arthur Hall (2) and baritone Nick Latterner had replaced Janson and Walden. Around 1924, the group adopted a more jazz-oriented style, like The Revelers (2).
