(born 3 May 1937 – died 26 June 2020 at San Sebastian, Hagonoy, Bulacan, Philippines) Philippine novelty songwriter and singer Known as Boy Sullivan, he was one of the original members of the group ‘D' Big 3 Sullivans’, along with Mar Lopez and the comedian Apeng Daldal. He then went solo and in 1972 created the novelty music genre in the Philippines, when Vicor Music released his first album, which included his greatest hit "Haring Solomon (May Alagang Pagong)”. Sullivan’s songs were known for their sexually-suggestive lyrics; indeed one of his albums was reportedly banned due to its graphic front cover featuring a group of naked women. Although his songs never received radio air-play, they were well loved by Filipino workers in the Middle East and often heard in bars and jeepneys in the Philippines.
