Dennis was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. Coming from a musical family, he started playing drums at the age of 4. Dennis' father and trumpet player, Bobby Bradford, was a member in bands from Billy Holiday and Frank Sinatra. Quincy Jones also worked with his father for a period of time. With such influence from his father, Dennis naturally learned a great deal about music. His debut was at the age of 6, when he had his first concert performance in Portland. Soon afterwards he started to attend recordings and live sessions, leading to his first contract with Arista Records. During this time Dennis performed and recorded for 11 years with The Jeff Lorber Fusion. He was the original drummer for this group, which included band member Kenny G. Dennis has performed live with Jeff at events including Chick Corea and Stanley Clarke. Square Catheopia was a fusion group that was inspired and influenced by The Jeff Lorber Fusion. Since 1989, Dennis focused his music in Tokyo, Japan. Six years later, he met Mami (Bradford) through live performances and in May 2001 they released the album "Attitude", with all songs arranged by Dennis and Mami. Focusing on their work as a team, their musical world began to expand to various off-stage areas. They have arranged music for Play Station II game software and for various artists in Japan. Agnes Chang (a Chinese pop singer in Japan), Yuri Hoshina, and Yuka are currently releasing CDs, produced/arranged by Dennis and Mami. Dennis has also performed as actor and composed and produced music with Mami for the movie "Itsuka A Resha Ni Notte" (Someday, Take the A-Train), released December 20, 2003 at Shinjuku TOA.
