Forming with the intention of being Australia's response to Green Rage or Canon, XLAIRX was always set to be a short term vegan straight edge project. Featuring members of life.lair.regret.records with which the name was derided as well as a wink and a nod to Liar from Belguim, XLAIRX featured members from many bands across Melbourne and Sydney and played with a different line up for nearly every show. Released via life.lair.regret. records on tape and 7'' in Australia, Instilled records on tape in Spain, Bound By Modern Age on 7'' in Germany, Diorama on tape in Indonesia, Cause & Effect on tape in England and Cold Hand records in America. Live the band covered Green Rage, Earth Crisis, Irate, Throwdown, Hatebreed, Path Of Resistance, Day Of Contempt with plans to record a Culture and Earth Crisis cover for a tape before they broke up.
