Alexander Kolchak (4 [16] November 1874 [1], Aleksandrovskoe - 7 February 1920, Irkutsk) - Russian military and political figure, oceanographer, polar explorer (1900-1903), naval commander (1915-1917), who went down in history as the leader of the White movement during the Civil War in Russia.
