Nigel Tilbury

Drummer, sound engineer, radio presenter. Nigel has been active in music for more than 40 years mainly as a drummer/percussionist. As such he has worked with artists as diverse as Guy Chambers, Charlie Winston, Leo Green, Iain Ballamy, Geno Washington, Nikolaj Torp Larsen, Malcolm Ross, Robin Lumley, Phil Skragg, James Woodrow, Adrian Stout, Jools Holland, Tony Hadley and Claus Bøhling. On November 9th 2021 he released the album ...nestling in green nowhere... by his own band THE NØiiGE, which is available to download on Bandcamp.com and via many other streaming services. Later moving into sound engineering he has worked with amongst many Roy Ayers, Tom Baxter, Kings of Convenience, London Community Gospel Choir, Ian Shaw, Dennis Davies, Hermeto Pascoal, Palle Mikkelborg, Harry Beckett, Tony Marsh, Ten Benson and Theo Travis. As a radio presenter under the alias of Gil Legine, he has presented shows for firstly the legendary Radio Caroline and in recent times around the world for The Album Zone and Album Heads. He also for many years presented a live, twice monthly programme for Københavns Universitets Radioen (KUR) on 95.5 FM, in Denmark. Nigel relocated to Copenhagen, Denmark in 2004 to raise a family, but since 2019 has once again been creating, performing and producing music.
