Secondhand Daylights
Настоящее имя: Secondhand Daylights
Об исполнителе:
After Headleaders disbanded, Lakis Halkiopoulos went on to for a trio under the name X-Ray, with Hristos Triantis (bass), and Hristos Svarnas (drums). They soon changed their name to Fade (14), and played shows in various Athens clubs. Greek poet Κατερίνα Γώγου had attended a few of those shows, and had appreciated their work. Halkiopoulos was making a living as an engineer at Columbia Studios, and when the studio was free, the trio worked on finalizing their songs. 7 tracks were set for release, and when a friend happened to hear them, he commented they sounded a lot like Magazine's second album. Something which resulted in the band changing their name once more, to Secondhand Daylights. The band's plans to release the album were cut short though, since Halkiopoulos had been called for his (mandatory) service at the Greek Army in 1986. After finishing in 1988, the band concluded the tracks were not sounding fresh anymore, and shelved the album. In 2015, Greek label Inner Ear heard the tracks, and finally put out the album, some 30 years since it was recorded.
