Constantino Mendoza

Ecuadorian composer and pianist from Manabita (April 28, 1898, Portoviejo - January 8, 1985, Quito). During his life, he composed more than 500 works, including “La Canción de Los Andes” and "Rosales Mustios" (Laura). He also composed popular works, boleros, children's music, carols, marches, and hymns, many of them dedicated to the cantons of the province of Manabí, to institutions, academies, schools, and colleges. All his studies were carried out in his hometown: the primary ones at the Mendoza Bahamonde Private School and the Santa Teresa Fiscal School, and the secondary ones at the Olmedo National College.
