Nashville-based audio engineer and musician. Founded Digital Audio Post, Inc. in 1995. Began his career as an audio engineer for PBS in Alabama in the late 1970s while attending Auburn University as a Music Theory/Composition major. Moved to Nashville in January, 1987. Later that year began as a pianist with Vince Gill, and went on to tour with Stave Wariner, Judy Rodman and Ricky Van Shelton. In 1989 Davis joined Dolly Parton's Mighty Fine Band and toured as a keyboardist and sound designer until 1993. Davis also composed television music during this period for PBS and CBS, and worked as a video editor at Elite Post of Nashville. In 1996 he joined TNN's Prime Time Country Staff Band. As a composer and musician, his music has been used for TV shows "Baywatch", "Access Hollywood", "The Dr. Phil Show", "NBA on ABC", "Hooking Up" on ABC, and "The 700 Club". Has also provided television music for OneMusic/FirstCom, and has had several national commercials including Zales Jewelers and Honda. Album projects include Chely Wright, Megadeth and a live album for Dolly Parton in Europe. Davis joined Parton as a keyboardist and programmer for the 2005 "The Vintage Tour" and her World Tours in 2007, 2008, 2011 and 2014.
