Mick Morris (b. Michael Anthony Morris, Dover, Kent) is a UK guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, singer, composer and writer based in the South East of England. Throughout a long career, Morris has worked with artistes from the diverse fields of rock, pop, jazz and variety including: The Barron Knights, Freddie Starr, Kenneth McKellar, Larry Grayson, Desmond Dekker, Keith Harris, Pat Halcox, The Moody Blues, The Searchers, Supertramp, Noel Redding, Arthur Askey, The Fortunes, Cream, John Mayall, Ted Nugent, Chris Farlowe, Albert Lee, Pete Bocking, Alan Price, Joe Harriott, Georgie Fame, Little and Large, Tina Turner, The Spotniks, Nero & The Gladiators, `Wounded' John Scott Cree, Wee Willie Harris, Cliff Bennett, The `New' Yardbirds (Led Zeppelin), Long John Baldry, Roy Castle, Joe Brown, Screaming Lord Sutch, Sybil Talbot, Shotgun Express, Tony Coe, Sounds Incorporated, Alvin Stardust, Geno Washington, and Junior Walker. In addition to acoustic and electric guitar, he also plays mandolin, banjo, bazoukie, ukulele and drums. Mick has recorded several albums of instrumental music in styles as diverse as Irish-flavoured tunes, Manouche (Gypsy) jazz and solo guitar standards. His 2009 album 'Reflections' (Red Admiral Records CDA 556), a collection of all-original compositions, is a homage to some of the many players who have inspired his own playing over the years. Since 2010 he has formed one half of acoustic guitar/vocal duo Hands On! with good friend and fellow guitarist Colin Hinds (China Crisis, Paul Carrack, Gary Barlow etc.) In 2011 Mick collaborated on the theme music for the soundtrack of the award winnng film, Watermark. His recording of an own-composition, 'Too Good to be True', is also featured in the film.
