Koo Koo Boy

New wave/pop rock band from Rochester, New York, fronted by Scott Coblio, usually in his signature outfit of a referee's shirt with tighty whities. City Newspaper's The Best of Rochester Best Rock Musicians 1994 winner Beginning in 1991, Koo Koo Boy was a duo consisting of Scott Coblio and Dan Snyder (6) as Eddie Cleveland (2). After receiving considerable radio play on NY radio stations WITR & WBER and being invited to perform live shows, the duo quickly transitioned to a 4-piece version of the group, adding bassist Ted Day and drummer Karl Olsen (3) (of The Profiles) to the lineup, with Dan Snyder (6) leaving the group by 1995, replaced by Greg Hassett. From that point on the group played at clubs including Friends & Players, Jazzberrys (later Milestones), Scorgie's, Rochester, Horizontal Boogie Bar (currently Water Street Music Hall, Rochester), Bosco's, Club Zei, The Abyss, and many others.
