Digna Isabel Guevara Fuentez was born on June 14, 1966 in Milagro city, Guayas - Ecuador. Since her childhood was supported and conducted unconditionally by her mother Mrs. Rosita Fuentes in music scene, at home Digna Isabel created her own scenarios and imagined singing for several people. At 6 years old Digna Isabel began her studies at Victoria Concha de Valdez school, in that place was discovered with artist's talent, her school director Mrs. Piedad de Fernandez chose her to sing in the civic moment of that school. At that time they realized her talents, Digna Isabel participated in the Pasillo Festival of Milagro - Ecuador (school level contest) where she went to represent her school and won the first place. After finished her school studies Digna Isabel participated in another National Music contest in Radio Atalaya and Radio La Voz de Milagro, where she won a second place. Then at her own request, Digna Isabel told her mother that she wanted to sing Tropical music, and as there was only one orchestra in Milagro city her mother took her to do some tests in the orchestra of Samaniego brothers in which she started as main vocalist thanks to Mr. Carlos Samaniego. Digna Isabel was so thankful to them for being her teachers and thanks to them is what she participates in a Tropical music contest in TC Television channel where she won a second place in 1984. In that TV channel they asked Digna Isabel if she could be an anchor announcer, so time was passing by and at three and half years of that contest she was discovered by the FEDISCOS managing director Mr. Jorge Macias, who contacted her and hired Digna Isabel for 5 years as exclusive artist with the Fediscos-Onix label and then renewed that contract for three more years of exclusivity in the same Record label. Since then came out with her first singles called "Celitos" and other songs as "La Tumba Hombre", "Nadie Como Tu", "Lagrimas De Amor", "Se Acabó" which were total success and got to be known as locally as overseas, ending her recording contract with FEDISCOS. In fact about of her successful songs, she was known as "La Chica Celitos" and "La Tumba Hombre". Time after, another record label called Calle Records was interested in Digna Isabel and she recorded some tunes as "La Gata", "La Cosa" and many more tropical hits. In one of her contracts Digna Isabel had to travel to Macas city in Morona Santiago province where she currently lives and works as an announcer in Radio 100.1 FM.
