Carlos A. Jara

Paraguayan poet and lyricist, born in Asunción on 1897. As he knew bilingualism, he wrote works in Spanish and Guaraní. Don Carlos Roque Centurión, in his text “Historia de la Cultura Paraguaya”, outlines his profile and inserts him into the intellectual generation of the first decades of the 20th century, together with Leopoldo Ramos Jiménez, Natalicio Talavera, Fernando Rivarola, Manuel Ortiz Guerrero.
