Malin Carlberg

Swedish singer, born on June 16, 1969. She studied singing, flute and saxophone since her early teens and later studied theater at Södra Latins gymnasium. This was followed by some intensive work & study years in, among other things, Geneva, London and Paris. In 1994 Malin moved to Malmö where she began a collaboration with the violinist and composer Stefan Pöntinen. Together they completed an extensive Bellman project which was performed in castles and cabins in southern Sweden with a finale at Skansen in Stockholm. After that, a multi-year collaboration with the artist Sten-Ove Persson began. Together they made the train opera "oggi come oggi" (in collaboration with SJ) that ran Malmö - Stockholm - Gothenburg - Malmö. There, Malin interpreted Swedish Skillingtryck from the time when Sweden was connected by a railway. The music had to take a backseat for a while to various art projects with studio-sos & gallery rostrum with performances in e.g. Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, New York and New Jersey.
