Johnny Strickler

John Strickler was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and moved to Springfield, Missouri at age 12, where he began his lifelong study of the guitar. John holds a Masters Degree in Jazz Studies from the prestigious University of North Texas, Denton. There he studied with Fred Hamilton, was a teaching fellow, and recorded with the highly respected 2:00 Lab Band. Currently, John is on the music faculty at Drury University, Missouri State University, and Southwest Baptist University. In addition to his teaching duties, John performs weekly.
