She started singing in Kraków, when she was still in high school, being part of a rock trio called Tino's Band. After moving to Milan, she began sending her demos to various producers; meanwhile she takes advantage of her height (176 cm) and her Nordic beauty working as a model. Even though she enjoyed modelling, she doesn't lose never in sight of her musical ambitions. In 1993, Larry Pignagnoli recognizes his talent and together with Davide Riva, the two producers famous all over the world for successes such as Whigfield, they decide to work with her. The results come quickly: "You Make Me Feel Good" takes #1 in Canada and performs well in France, Germany and Italy, as well as other European countries. With the second and third singles, "Beat It" and "You & I" (released in 1994) helped to perpetuate the J.K. success story. The fourth single "My Radio" explodes in Europe and opens the market to Japanese for the Artist. After "My Radio", an irresistible Megamix comes out. Subsequently, the single "Sweet Lady Night" is accompanied by a video clip destined to be remembered for a long time. Marta was born on January 2nd, and she admits that she has all the typical characteristics of Capricorns. She is reliable and perfectionist, a little lazy and vain! She loves cinema, cats, chocolate mousse and her Italian boyfriend. Pignagnoli and Riva produced Lalene soon after, using the same formula. "My Radio" and later singles were sung by Sandra Chambers AKA Sandy (with the exception of "Sweet Lady Night" and "Go On", which were sung by Zeeteah Massiah. Annerley Gordon AKA Ann Lee is credited on some of the singles as the songwriter.
