Antonín Nývlt

Czech military band musician and composer (1885-1952) Grew up Rtyně where he played violin and flugelhorn in a local miners' band from age 12. In 1903, he began his career as a military band musician in various regiments, retiring as a Staff Sergeant in 1937. Nývlt's most popular compositions are the "Captain Rimek" march and the waltz "Zdenička", written in memory of his little daughter, who died in childhood.
