Об исполнителе:
Artist with a US honky tonk release from 1952. "Alaska now takes the spotlight, and from the land of the igloo and the huskie we greet 24 year-old Doug Lewis, one of the few "Aslaskan hillbillies" on record. Two years ago the talented folk entertainer started a little radio show in Fairbanks which went over so well that the people clamored for more. Today Doug and his band are featured nightly at the "Cowtown Club" where they perform before packed houses. The proud owner of an Intro Records contract, Doug Lewis writes most of the songs he records. The most famous of these Alaskan folk songs are "Alaska Waltz," "Iceworm Boogie," "Little Belle Of The Yukon," and "Son Of A Sourdough." -Cowboy Songs magazine n°28 (sept 1953)
