Don Burke (3)

Canadian singer, banjoist, guitarist and songwriter; born February 28, 1939 in Halifax, Nova Scotia; died March 17, 2019 in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. He was a member of the Canadian groups The Townsmen and The Don Burke Four and appeared regularly on the Canadian television program 'Singalong Jubilee'. He moved to France in 1965, where he sang and played guitar for 20 years in the French group Les Troubadours. He accompanies many songs on Graeme Allwright's records on guitar, including "Henrik" (1966), where he sings the chorus in second voice. In 1967, he was the singing voice of Andy Miller played by Gene Kelly in the musical film Les Demoiselles de Rochefort.
