Stephen Brown, sometimes Steve Brown, is an Australian drummer, known in the music world as VENOM and has been playing drums for over 40 years, It all began when one of his older brothers bought a second hand drum kit, Venom was nine at the time. He has toured professionally within Australia and around the world over the last 35 years. His fiery drumming has provided the pulse for a diverse range of artists in scores of local bands with hundreds of musicians. Sharing the stage with some of Australia’s most respected musicians and bands such as Electric Mary, Spy vs Spy, Mr Brown, Starworld 93, Nick Barker, Doc Nelson (The Angels) and Doug Parkinson to name a few. He has been involved in hundreds of session recordings where he delivers exactly what drums are required for the artist he is working with, making him one of the most sought after recorded drummers nationally. Venom is without a doubt one of Australia’s most extraordinary drummers having very strong understanding of rhythm and timing. Venom has been a drum teacher for over 21 years and has worked with a cross section of students from all abilities and backgrounds and has a flexible, supportive teaching style that helps attain goals, build confidence and he will give you the tools to achieve them. Originally a member of Melbourne band Mr. Brown (14), he moved on to Electric Mary with singer and guitarist Rusty (36) after the dissolution of Mr. Brown
