Stewart MacFarlane

Australian artist (painter, singer) born 1953 in Adelaide. After completed his Diploma in Fine Art in 1974, he traveled to the US to further his studies. He remained living and working in New York City for several years. During this time, he worked as a studio assistant for several New York City based artists from 1977-80 and recorded songs along with his mate Steven Pollack and others. He returned to Australia in 1983 and then in 1987, he lived and painted in Mornington, Victoria. Over the next 8 years he moved between Melbourne, Sydney and Roswell, producing one or more solo exhibitions each year.
