Настоящее имя: Jaime Guevara
Об исполнителе:
Ecuadorian singer-songwriter, icon of Quito's urban trova, known for his songs with rhythms ranging from rock and blues to folk music, his political-cultural activities as a defender of human rights, nonviolence, and his criticism of political power through corrosive humor. From his youth he adheres to anarchist political thought.1 Although he identifies himself with both rock and trova, both with the lyrics of the "everyday urban" and the "social protest", Guevara in particular tries not to be pigeonholed in closed musical genres so it has developed a characteristic "fusion". He is known as "El Chamo Guevara", a nickname of his youth, or as "the singer of contraband", due to the name of his record label, De contrabando, his performances nationally and internationally add hundreds, presenting a large number of recitals in theaters and popular scenarios. It is a benchmark of Ecuadorian rock, 2 3 and is, together with Héctor Napolitano and Hugo Idrovo, the greatest troubadour of urban popular daily life in Ecuador.
