Ferenc Kiss (2)

Born in Budapest, Ferenc Kiss is a classical violinist. He studied violin with his father and at the Franz Liszt Academy as well as with the renowned Hungarian artist Sándor Végh in Düsseldorf. He has performed in the capitals of Europe as well as in concert halls in the USA and Mexico. He has been invited to perform on numerous radio stations internationally and is well known for his interpretation of barock, classic and romantic violin repertoires, and also of modern compositions. His countless appearances on international shows as well as the variety of records, tapes and compact disc recordings, futher attest to his successful development as an acclaimed violin virtuoso, which he demonstrates with his renditions upon his 1717 Stradivarius. Since 1979 he is concertmaster of the Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz. Dieter Acker (1981) and Róbert Wittinger (1986) dedicated their violin concerts to him. Ferenc Kiss is also the founder of the Budapest Trio.
