Phil Austin

US based mastering and cutting engineer whose career started in the early 1970's. His involvement can often, but not consistently, be identified by his initial's "pa" (or a variation thereof) etched into the runout area of his work. Oftentimes along with the month and year. For a large part his career, up until about 2006 he worked at the Trutone Mastering Labs. He is not to be confused with Philip Austin of The Firesign Theatre.
