John Loots

Barbershop baritone vocalist. Born on March 17, 1921 in Havelock, Iowa. John joined the Gaynotes in 1954 as their baritone and sang with them for 12 years. They won the 1956 South Western District Championship and the 1958 SPEBSQSA International Championship. John was also the baritone of the T-Towners, a SWD finalist quartet. John died on July 14, 1990 in a tragic automobile accident at the age of 69.
