Настоящее имя: Paul Colman Trio
Об исполнителе:
In 2001, the Paul Colman Trio (or 'PC3') were regarded as one of Australia's best unsigned Christian bands. Formed in Melbourne in 1998, the band burst onto the scene with the acoustic pop sound of their debut album Serious Fun, and the single 'Fill My Cup', which reach #3 on the Rock Across Australia Christian charts, the strength of which allowed the band to pull crowds of up to 1000 at each of their album launches in Sydeny, Melbourne and Brisbane. The band supported the album with a tour that took in 15 cities across four Australian states. Their success also caught the attention of the likes of Channel 7 and Melbourne's The Herald-Sun newspaper. In 2000, the band released their follow up Turn which presented a slightly harder edge to their signature acoustic pop sound, which again garnered great success and saw the band take in 26 regional and metropolitan centre across six states on the supporting tour. At the same time, PC3's music came to the attention of Third Day's Mac Powell, who invited the band to open for them on tour, and Monroe Jones, who agreed to produce the band's US debut. The resulting album, New Map of the World[i/], would see the band make a permanent move to the US as they began their tour with Third Day, the successful 'Come Together' tour. By 2003, the roles would change, as the band headlined their own 'One' tour, with Sarah Kelly in support. On February 1st, 2004, the band announced that they would be taking a (permanent) break as a recording/touring band. Since then, Paul Colman has released a solo album, while Grant Norsworthy and Phil Gaudion have taken up careers as successful session musicians, featuring on many recordings of prominent Christian artists. As PC3 though, they have left their indelible mark on the Christian music industry.
