Penknifelovelife (is what you get when Deftones meets Bring Me the Horizon; as described by their label) was a post-hardcore band from Leeds, United Kingdom that formed in 2003. On November 12th 2006, Ross Kenyon (Vocals) played his final show for the band, and moved to Los Angeles to join the band Confide, putting Penknifelovelife on hiatus. Jake Greenwood (Bass) also left at this time, and started the Pop-Punk band Summerlin. After being in California for two months, Ross was forced to leave for England again, as he was unable to obtain citizenship. Around the 10th of December in 2006, Adam Phillips was recruited as the new frontman, however, in early 2007, Ross, upon his return to the UK, rejoined the band. Several months later, Ross departed for California and re-joined the band Confide, thus finally confirming the demise of Penknifelovelife. Penknifelovelife released their debut EP in 2005 ('There's Nothing More Romantic Than Watching The World Die') and one single in 2006 ('Porphyria's Lover'). Both the EP and the single were released by Small Town Records. The final line-up consisted of: Ross Kenyon - Vocals Luke Shuttleworth - Guitar Daniel Hamer - Guitar John Rees - Bass Jacob Grace - Drums Previous members were: Gary Parkinson James Gabitas Jake Greenwood Luke Fenn Adam Phillips
