Scholomance was an "extreme progressive" band, based in Willard, Missouri USA, and active from 1995 to 2003. According to Romanian folklore, the Scholomance was a school of black magic run by the Devil, located near an unnamed lake, in the mountains, south of the city of Hermannstadt (now called Sibiu) in Transylvania.
