The Boulevard Of Broken Dreams Orchestra
Настоящее имя: The Boulevard Of Broken Dreams Orchestra
Об исполнителе:
The Boulevard Of Broken Dreams Orchestra —an inspiration of Ton van Bergeijk and Gert-Jan Blom— has it's roots in the Dutch small bands discipline, from which it emerged around 1984. It traveled yearly with the Boulevard Of Broken Dreams bandwagon visiting among others Amsterdam, Utrecht, The Hague and Arnhem (Netherlands), and Antwerp (Belgium), supplying one of the Boulevard's tents —De Danstent (trans. The Dance Tent)— with a rich anachronistic atmosphere to dance. During the 1985-1986 season several members of the Orchestra —in many fanciful combinations and many different names— performed in Wim Noordhoek's "Pandemonium" (a VPRO radio show). It should be noted that the Broken Dreams Orchestra did not really exist as a band. It was as they advertised; "... a dream, purposely evoked each Spring and shattered each Fall". Until 1987 when The Boulevard Of Broken Dreams ceased to exist. In 1990 De Parade emerged from The Boulevard Of Broken Dreams' ashes, displaying a comparably anachronistic and theatrical atmosphere with more emphasis on Food & Drinks.
