Sherman Lee Dillon

Known as the Mississippi’s Ambassador of the Blues , Sherman Lee Dillon was born in 1951 in Meadville , MS (population 451) . At the age of 16 , he left home and has been playing music professionally ever since. Living in a dry county with only one black-topped road, his performing debut experience had mostly been for neighborhood gatherings with payment in homemade wine.
