Vedasto Acosta

He was born in San José de las Lajas, Cuba, on February 6, 1924, with a self-taught training since childhood showed a peculiar inclination towards the arts, likewise with only 12 years he made his debut as a singer and in 1948 he founded the Serenata trio along with 2 other young lajeros childhood friends. They participated in serenades, festivals, popular festivals and private parties for free, until he created a song that identified him in his presentations. In the course of his short but intense life, he successfully completed numerous works in different branches of art. Painting, music, photography, cartoons, graphic design, advertising, postage stamps and labels of industrial products, and collaboration with different publications. He died on July 14, 1970.
