The vocal and instrumental ensemble Il canto di Orfeo founded in 2005 and directed by Gianluca Capuano, intends to develop and refine the experience gained by him and his collaborators in the last years of intense concert activity. One of the strengths of the group is the music of Giacomo Carissimi, his students (among all, Charpentier, Kerll and Bernhard) and composers active in Rome in the same years (primarily Luigi Rossi), not disdaining the best of production between 1600 and 1750.
