She had her first recording experience at age 12 when her family released the album, "The McCann Family - The World's Largest Musical Family". At 17, she hit the road with the group, Bourbon Hill, and then ventured out on her own. In 1982, her winning entry in the Ottawa Song Contest was used in tourism ads across the country to promote Canada's Capital. In 1986, Chris won the CKBY Talent Search at the Gatineau Clog, resulting in the release on RCA Records of her songs, "Dance With Me Darlin’" and "You Know Who". Chris recorded two albums, "It's My Party" and "To Santa With Love" and appeared on three of Wayne Rostad's successful "Christmas in the Valley" albums, including "The Best of Christmas in The Valley". In 2004, Chris went to sea with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. For eight months a year, she performed solo, entertaining thousands of people every week. She toured the Caribbean for four years, making regular stops in Key West, Florida where she performed at Irish Kevin’s, one of the most popular live music venues in Key West. In 2008, as the most requested pub entertainer for Royal Caribbean, Chris was booked on the maiden voyage of The Independence of the Seas. Departing from Finland, she cruised the Mediterranean for five months, visiting Greece, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, the Canary Islands, England and Ireland. At home, Chris raises the roof at local clubs, and raises funds for local charities that are near and dear to her heart. Her rich, throaty voice, engaging personality and wry sense of humour make her a favourite of the Ottawa Valley music scene.
