Larry Smith (10)

Larry Mark Smith was born Feb. 9, 1943 in Parsons, Kansas and died Feb. 3, 2012 in Oswego, Kansas (Age 68). He graduated from Parsons High School, where he played baseball and got involved in music. He co-founded the Lancer Dance Band, which was widely known in the Parsons area. He then began working for the Katy Railroad. In 1972 he moved to Nashville, Tenn., to work in the music industry. He returned to Kansas in 1981 and earned an associate degree in radiology at Labette Community College. He was an accomplished guitarist and enjoyed singing and writing music.
