(November 11, 1934, Fizuli - January 26, 2008, Baku). The talented representative of the Karabakh school singers (khende) Islam Taptyg ogly Rzayev was born in the village of Fizuli region Syardarly. Islam Rzayev has visited 74 countries on tour. In 1988 I. Rzaev together with other music figures established the "Mugham Theater" and was artistic director of the theater. Islam Taptyg Rzayev was a professor of the Azerbaijan National Conservatory and the University of Art and Culture.
