Yves-François Blanchet

Born in Drummondville (Québec) , Yves-François Blanchet is a graduate in anthropology and history from the University of Montreal . He began to get involved politically in 1987 with the Parti Québécois (PQ) alongside Jacques Parizeau. In 1990, he founded and chaired Les Productions cultures Paradigme inc. and Diffusion YFB , and assumes the management of the career of singer Éric Lapointe . On November 26, 2018, he announced that he would be a political candidate in the leadership race of the Bloc Québécois (BQ) . He was elected without opposition to the office on January 17, 2019.
