This artist does not refer to a specific group of named individuals (such as a band or musical group) but rather defines the collective term for an ethnic group inhabiting the highlands of the Guatemalan department of Huehuetenango, in the towns of San Mateo Ixtatán, San Sebastián Coatán and Nentón, also with small numbers living in the Mexican state of Chiapas.
